Gold price witnessed a sharp decline in global and local markets on Friday. In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce fell by $149 to $4,156.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). In the local market, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs14,900 to Rs438,036. The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs13,410 to Rs374,205.
Similarly, silver prices also registered a decline. The price of silver per tola fell by Rs413 to Rs6,946, while the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs373 to Rs5,895.
On Thursday, Gold and silver prices in Pakistan fell following a decline in global bullion rates. In the international market, gold dropped $23 per ounce to $4,305, while silver fell $1.44 to $68.80 per ounce.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), local gold prices fell by Rs2,300 per tola to Rs452,936, while 10 grams declined by Rs2,070 to Rs387,615.
Silver prices in local markets dropped by Rs144 per tola to Rs7,359 and by Rs123 per 10 grams to Rs6,268.

On Wednesday, gold prices in Pakistan rose, following an increase in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs455,236 after gaining Rs100 during the day.
Likewise, 10-gram gold was priced at Rs389,685, up Rs85, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
On Tuesday, the association did not announce gold and silver rates after calling for a protest against alleged raids on jewellery shops.
On Monday, the price of gold per tola had climbed to Rs455,136 following a sharp increase of Rs10,800. Internationally, gold rose by $1 to $4,328 per ounce. Meanwhile, silver prices dropped by Rs6 to Rs7,503 per tola.
