Police presents documentary evidence comprising more than 500 pages against the suspects

KARACHI:

The District and Sessions Judge South has reserved the verdict on the bail applications of the alleged facilitators of accused Anmol alias Pinky in a narcotics case.

During the hearing, the investigating officer submitted significant evidence against the accused facilitators before the court. Police presented documentary evidence comprising more than 500 pages against the suspects.

According to the investigation report, the accused, Zeeshan-ur-Rehman and Sohail Rehman, operate an ‘Easy Load’ shop and were allegedly involved in drug supply operations and financial transactions in collaboration with Pinky.

The report states that Zeeshan and Sohail are key facilitators of Pinky. Police also submitted details of call recordings and voice notes involving Pinky and her associates as part of the evidence.

The investigating officer requested the court to reject the bail applications of the accused. After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its decision on the bail pleas. According to police, a case against the accused has been registered at Garden police station.

Pinky ran a highly organised cocaine supply network in Karachi using a secretive communication and delivery system designed to protect the identities of both clients and operatives, investigators told The Express Tribune.

Sources said the suspect and her associates used mobile phones without SIM cards and communicated through social media platforms to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.
